Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service Response

The Eta Iota Omega Chapter has dedicated itself to creating programming to enhance the international footprint of the sorority. The Target 5 Committee has led the chapter in completing the following initiatives:

Soles 4 Souls - Collected 433 pairs of gently-worn shoes. Soles4Souls mission is to create sustainable jobs and provide relief through the distribution of shoes around the world.

Lions Club International - Supported the eyeglass initiative designed to prevent blindness, help restore eyesight, and improve eye health and eye care for millions of people around the world by donating 50 eyeglasses.

Pillowcase Dresses For Haiti Project - Used pillowcases to make 165 dresses which will be sent to Haiti to provide clothing for children in need.

School Supplies For Africa - Purchased and shipped $2,000 worth of school supplies, cloth diapers, and diaper pins to Christ Shalom Academy, a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school in Hohoe, Ghana. The supplies will benefit the entire school population of 200 students.

Operation Shoebox - Donated 80 pounds of candy to be included in care packages sent to troops deployed overseas.

Operation Gratitude - Sent 150 letters of gratitude to deployed troops, veterans, wounded heroes, and their caregivers.

Thank you to Dorian Roberts and Sonja Bracy, Target 5 Chairmen, and their committee for implementing impactful programs that meet the needs of our global communities.
